Getting Ghost 1.X+ to work with Node Version Manager on Linux

There is this tricky part where NVM requires non-root user and non /root directory to run your Ghost blog.

In order to fix this in case you messed it up and installed NVM inside ~ or /root/* - worry not, the fix is quite easy.

  1. Open your .bashrc and find export NVM_DIR=
  2. Make it to a decent directory like /.nvm

Reboot. I tried exporting it on the production platform and it messed up quite bit, but after reboot it was all right.

Follow the production install instructions to troubleshoot errors and such.

NB Don't forget to run ghost install from a non-root user.
